The Adjustment Bureau was supposed to have a different ending wherein one of the suspenseful character would be revealed.
The Adjustment Bureau is a science fiction romance. So, it's the same old love story but with a spoonful of suspense added in the form of science fiction and this combination makes the movie entertaining and piquant.
Favorite Movie Quotes:
I don't care what you put in my way, I'm not giving up.
The movie is interesting in many ways; firstly the protagonist's want is clearly established and even provokes us to cheer for him. Secondly, the science fiction element is added as obstacles in the confrontation parts of Act II. So we are not only thrilled to watch what's happening in the movie but also riveted to the film.
Your entire world has turned upside down and you're thinkin' about a woman.
Eventually, we will be left with lot's of question as the movie progresses and the filmmakers have not answered them all. Even though the climax was a happy ending which most of us would be highly satisfied with, I was not much impressed. I kinda felt it ended abruptly and was denied the perfect denouement it ought to have.
All I have are the choices I make, and I choose her, come what may.
The romance sequences were amusing and pleasant to watch. The chemistry between the actors has worked out marvelously and that's one of the huge highlights of the movie. I think this is the first film where I've seen Matt Damon in a romantic role. Overall, The Adjustment Bureau is a witty entertainer with hardly any dull moments.
Verdict: A Rejuvenating Modern Love Story!
