Did you know?

The director of the film Manoj Nelliyattu Shyamalan was born in Pondicherry India.

Split (2017) is a horror thriller movie which is a standalone sequel to the film Unbreakable (2000) and the second installment in the Unbreakable film series. The movie is well written and rich in character backstories. Almost each and every scene is filled with thrills and reveals new surprises.

Favorite dialogues from the Movie:

We are what we believe we are.

The story is thematic and so the characters are thoroughly defined. The crux of the story revolves around the protagonist who is in turn is the "antagonist". There is another lead character, a teenage girl, whose character is explicated through intermittent flashbacks that helps the viewers to elucidate the nature of the character. This particular sequence was cleverly written and portrayed.

You are different from the rest. Your heart is pure! Rejoice! The broken are the more evolved. Rejoice.

The protagonist role of Split is extraordinary and one who plays this role must be extremely industrious. James McAvoy has done an incredible job in handling this role and brought out a feast for the viewers. The thrilling scenes are elevated to whole new level thanks to his mesmerizing acts. All other actors have performed dutifully and a commendable job in portraying their respective roles.

You might be pregnant now.

Mike Gioulakis, the cinematographer stands out in each and every frame. The movie is pictured dark just like it's theme and screams of terror in each scene. The director M. Night Shyalaman is renowned for surprise endings in his films and the Split is not an exception to that. Also, Split is considered to be an unusual superhero movie which I'm sure you will understand of you watch it.

The broken are more evolved.

Split is an out of the ordinary horror film with lots of surprising elements making it an amusing movie to watch it along with your friends. P.S. Do not watch the trailer if you wanna be completely surprised!

Verdict: An Eccentric Horror Movie!
