Movie Suggestion #40: Grown Ups (2010)

Adam Sandler

Grown Ups (2010)

Available on: Amazon Prime

Runtime: 1 hour 42 minutes

One word review: Tickling!

IMDB: 5.9

Grown Ups is a comedy movie about five buddies' hangout. The movie is concept oriented with a thin story line and filled with a plethora of mild hearted laughs. It is purely about the interactions and events happening over a weekend when five buddies get to meet after a long time.

Favorite dialogues from the Movie:

Are you making a sissy? You know they make a chemical that turns urine blue.

Each of the character in the buddies group is peculiar in it's own way and it's really fun to watch them interact. All the lead characters were played by highly talented actors but I felt their fullest potential was not showcased well in this movie. As I had told earlier, there isn't any particular plot involved in the movie. The filmmakers just wanted to make a hilarious comedy film and I must say they have almost nailed it. The movie isn't extremely funny but humorous just enough to arouse some happy giggles.

He calls it maize because it sounds mystical. It's a-maize-ing.

Additionally, the movie is about family and kids. And interestingly, there is a good social message conveyed to the kids of this generation through this movie and even thought it's been almost a decade away since the movie released the message still holds good. So, it's a very good family entertainer and children's movie too.

Verdict: A Time Pass Family Entertainer!
