Poem #10: Timeless

TIMELESS

Who is my nemesis?

Time.

It keeps pushing and pulling me

Whether I'm on this side or the other

Hustling me on the run for

One thing or the other.

The seconds seems fleeting

When I know

An eternity is ensured.

Tasks, goals, activities

Motives, purposes, drives

Topor, zeal, rumination

It keeps piling up

Interests, wishes, dreams

Timeless to squelch all my thirst

Am I even parched?

It's not fair to put me inside a globe

And watch me suffer

When you can't suspend yourself

I go to sleep and I wake up

With the reminiscences of a dream

Wondering how long does it take

To wake up from a perpetual dream?

My nemesis is after me

With his ticks and toks.

Oh death, my redeemer and confidant

How long will you take?

You may come and salvage my time

I shall wait for you, timelessly.
