Poem #19: Let the Lights be Switched Off.

Please don't cast light on me,

Let it stay dark.

As my tears roll down,

I fear this loneliness is a curse,

Which I force upon myself,

Even after I received it as a gift.

I crave for a nurturing penguin,

Despite having many who galvanize me.

This refracted soul, longs for its cradle,

From which it was cast out.

What is the number on this simulation,

As I desperately want this one to end,

Not willing to start a new one.

One by one, my purposes of life,

Fade away into the darkness,

Along with my soul.

My existence is guaranteed only in the darkness,

The light will only decimate me immediately.

So, please don't cast light on me,

Let it stay dark!
