THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF A YOGI is a detailed account of the life of one of the greatest Indian Saints, PARAMAHANSA YOGANANDA. Born as Mukunda Lal Ghosh, the book recalls and recites the life memoir of the Saint in his own perspective. This book, especially to me, is an illuminating book that changed my perspective of experiencing life and is a constant source of motivation for me.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven

To being with, this book is enigmatic and mesmerising. With only a few pages into the book, I was deeply engrossed in reading more. I felt like I was reading a beautiful novel, the story of an enchanting little boy who's journey in search for spirituality was riveting. I was addicted to the book instantly. There are a plethora of citations of miraculous incidents that the author, Paramahansa Yogananda had come across. Whether the readers may believe it or not, I am sure you'll be intrigued.

Always remember that you belong to no one, and no one belongs to you.

Furthermore, the author has exposed and explicated significant information about the science of Yoga and the mysteries of Indian Yogis in an intelligible manner so that even the layman would understand. The journey of Paramahansa Yogananda Ji is pretty long with his life history unveiled in the most grandeur fashion one could imagine.

Creation is light and shadow both, else no picture is possible.

Moreover, the spiritual journey of the author and his desperation to find his ordained Guru leaves us spellbound. This book will definitely serve as an inspiration and motivation for many readers and will set you on a journey towards the search about yourself. Kriya Yoga is an important yogic technique and the main purpose of this book stands in preaching it's importance and making the readers follow the path of Yoga set up by the ancient yogis. It is quite extraordinary to observe that, excluding all the spiritual elements this book possess, the book is still a captivating read for any reader.

All creation is governed by law.

Being an avid reader, it is a pity I missed this book for the most part of my life and only discovered it recently. I certainly do not wish any bibliophiles to miss out on this book. Please do purchase it immediately and start reading. This is one of those books, that left me wanting for more when it ended.
