Did you know?
The Man from Earth didn't had a theatrical release and became popular through wide distribution over internet.
I was mind blown after watching The Man from Earth. And I guarantee that you will be amazed too after watching this film. It's simply superb. The Man from Earth is a science fiction movie based on an intriguing concept that has admired humanity over many centuries. The story is unpresuming and the characters are unpretentious. But when the story unfolds it hits your mind like a thunder.
It is difficult to describe or expose even the faintest context of the movie here as it will serve as a spoiler to you. Running for just 89 minutes, the movie starts slow. So, you might need to give it some time and stay immersed in the unravelling. As the story slowly moves forward, you are astounded and astonished by the sheer portrayal of the concept.
In contradiction to generic science fiction films, this movie does not have any action, tech savvy or marvelous sequences but is conceptualized based on a simple idea. The protagonist of the film is this idea that is presented to you in a self-effacing manner. Filled with witty dialogues and mind-boggling theme this film is one hell of a ride you don't want to miss out in your lifetime.
Favorite Movie Quote:
Edith, I was raised on the Torah, my wife on the Qu'Ran, my eldest son is an Atheist, my youngest is a scientologist, my daughter is studying Hinduism, I imagine there is room there for a holy war in my living room, but we practice live and let live
The Man from Earth stands tall and inspiring to all the aspiring filmmakers and filmgoers. A very important tip for viewers: Don't watch the trailer here, if you do not want any spoilers.
