The Devil's Advocate is a mystery thriller movie starring Al Pacino and Keanu Reeves. The movie is over two hours in length and certainly requires a reasonable degree of patience from the viewers for it's complete runtime. But the theme portrayed in the movie is eccentric and peculiar which makes it quite remarkable.

The movie opens up with the life of our protagonist, an indisputable lawyer, who is on a winning spree, in a pleasant town. We see that despite his success he is still skeptic about his morality. And then comes an enticing opportunity from a mysterious personality based out in a city. What happens next is the rest of the story, woven with an enigmatic screenplay and enriched with deep symbolism.


Vanity, definitely my favorite sin.

The movie is highly thematic, presenting a popular tale among the Christian folklore. Therefore, if you aren't aware of this dark fable then as a viewer you will certainly miss out on reading and decoding the profound symbolism employed. Moreover, the performances of the lead actors, Al Pacino - effervescent and loquacious, Keanu Reeves - delicate and astute, have enhanced the movie watching experience to a highly entertaining level. Especially, the climax sequence was absolutely mind blowing and captivating. You'd love this movie if you're a fan of one of them.


Behold I send you out as sheep amidst the wolves.

With a mysterious theme and enchanting performance from the cast, The Devil's Advocate stands out audacious among other thrillers.


Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
